About This Project

At an appropriately gracious ceremony, Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra felicitated Dr. Sonal Mansingh with the prestigious ‘Sumitra Charat Ram Award for Lifetime Achievement (2019) presented by Pt. Birju Maharaj in the capital on November 17th, 2019. The award ceremony was followed by dance presentation by Dr. Sonal Mansingh.

The awards function began with the screening of a film – a retrospect on the icon Late Sumitra Charat Ram with illuminating addresses by eminent individuals on stage including Mrs Shobha Deepak Singh, Pt. Birju Maharaj and Dr Sonal Mansingh.
