Tribute to freedom fighters with its 18th presentation of their flagship festival – “Saare Jahan Se Accha” on August 9th and 10th, 2023 at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Utsav Educational and Cultural Society under the wing of its Founder-President Smt. Ranjana Gauhar – Padmashree and Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, came forward to herald the momentous occasion of Indian Independence Day with the 18th presentation of their flagship festival – “Saare Jahan Se Accha”.

The production commemorated India’s struggle for freedom in the form of Musical Dance Drama “Khud Mein Kabir, Kabir Mein Hum” and other dance forms – Odissi and Mohiniyattam performed by seasoned and established artists. Spread over two days the festival paid tribute to the martyrs and achievers of the nation in its own unique language.

Present at the event were legends and exponents from the art and culture landscape of India, namely Dr. Sonal Mansingh (Padma Vibhushan, Rajya Sabha Member and Odissi Exponent), Smt. Shovana Narayan (Sr Kathak Dancer, Guru, SNA and Padma Shri Awardee), Smt. Prathibha Prahlad (SNA and Padmashri Awardee, Founder Director of DIAF), Kaushalya Reddy (Eminent Kuchipudi exponent and Guru), Geeta Chandran (Bharatnatyam exponent Padmashree and SNA Awardee), Guru Manjushri (Senior Kathak Exponent), Guru Manjushri (Senior Kathak Exponent), Shri. Amarendra Khatua (For DG ICCR), Rama Pandey (Former Doordarshan TV Anchor, Actor and Author), Ustad Bismillah Khan (Yuva Puraskar Awardee, Council member SNA-Founder Director of Vidha Lal Kathak Resonance), Shri Kamal Modi (Chairman Art Karat), Jayaprabha Menon (Well known Mohiniyattam dancer), Santosh Nair (Well known traditional and contemporary Dancer), Ms. Alakananada Dasgupta (Kathak Exponent), Smt.
